Vermilion Energy has spent the last year evaluating a number of hosted and non-hosted systems that would work for our domestic and international locations. We used an external technology consultant to help us evaluate what was available on the market. We ended up looking at 6 different vendor packages and ranking them on over 200 functional requirements. Then we looked at cost.

In the end we went with iTrak from NeoSystems. We found their product to be highly configerable and extremely cost effective. I followed up with references and they checked out. We do not anticipate any issues going forward based on NeoSystems responsiveness to date and a "delivered as promised" track record.

Our plan was to keep the initial implemetation simple and stick with standard HSE event tracking (injuries, releases, haz ID, near misses, audit findings, investigations, etc) and expand once fluency on the system is high.
